Living with Multiple Sclerosis

"I have had Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS) for 22 years. A lack of balance led to a couple of falls and cracked vertebrae. Linda devised a programme of exercise and movement to improve my stability and therefore balance. She also suggested a change from my two walking sticks to two ortho hiking poles. Brilliant!! I cannot recommend Linda highly enough. Thank you.” - Tony Newman

Balance and dizziness

"I had my first physio session with Linda in November 2018 after suffering for a while with dizziness and balance problems as a result of an inner ear complication. Linda devised an individually tailored exercise regime that has resulted in a significant improvement after just 4 sessions. She has taken time to explain exactly what my problems are, ways to overcome them and has been able to give professional guidance and advice when requested. I can't thank you enough for your support Linda. Thanks.” - Glynis Cheeseman

Complex fracture and nerve damage

"Having had a serious motorbike accident 3 years ago, I am now back to the best fitness level I could have possibly hoped for. This I believe was achieved with Linda's expertise in the physio programme she devised for me. She is very personable, extremely professional and was not averse to researching information to help alleviate my problems. I would highly recommend Linda.” - Jeff Dabner

Living with Parkinson’s Disease

“I am a 64 year old woman and following on from some falls and injuries I had been indoors most of the winter and had found moving around very difficult.  I was seizing up, especially at night and had given up many daily activities and going out.  I was convinced my Parkinson’s had got worse and had put an end to them and was at a very low point. I started seeing Linda in January and after leaving some time for injuries to heal embarked on a course of LSVT BIG.  The preliminary research was thorough and identified my problems which Linda then used to draw up a regime based on my needs. I found the exercises simple and quick, initially requiring more effort but as I progressed I built strength, stamina and stability.  I was rewarded very quickly and couldn’t believe the difference in things like rising from a chair, turning over in bed and walking purposefully with long strides in a straight line. The sessions were easy and enjoyable and I looked forward to stretching and moving and the improvement in mood.  The changes gave me the confidence to pick up some of the things I used to do and gave me a positive outlook on life.  The programme is excellent at identifying and prioritising your difficulties and helping you to regain control of your situation.  It is not a cure but it is really effective in managing your movement problems. It would not be fair for all the credit to go to the programme.  I have found the support and encouragement of Linda and the physio assistant invaluable and thank them from the bottom of my heart for the difference this has made to me.” - Anon, Bexley

Living with muscle weakness

"I first consulted Linda over two years ago. A rare neurological condition causing muscle weakness, diagnosed much earlier had been made worse by an adverse drug reaction and a fractured leg, leaving me immobile. With her help and friendly encouragement and that of her physio assistant Louise my mobility has greatly improved. The exercises she has given me have increased my strength considerably. At appropriate stages Linda has suggested various items to help me such as a tilt-in-space chair, a wheelchair and a banana board to aid transfers. She has always ensured that I acquired the correct item for my needs and I can now transfer with ease and use a wheelchair to get around my home. She continues to implement ways in which I can make further gains to achieve my ultimate goal of being able to take a few steps.  I am so grateful for her perseverance and continuing support in the face of my improvements which are tangible but slow.” - Christine W

Living with Caudia Equina Syndrome

"I recently attended a neurophysio clinic with Linda Jones following a relapse of chronic low back pain due to cauda equina syndrome sustained two years ago. I found Linda to be totally professional and sympathetic during my sessions with her. After an initial assessment, Linda tailored some exercises that would best suit my ongoing problems. Linda also made some other very helpful suggestions that would improve my lifestyle. The first was to purchase a Roho cushion to help with numbness and hypersensitivity that I have in my buttock and down my legs. This was to improve my comfort whilst at work as I have to sit for long periods of time as a train driver. Linda also referred me to have a foot brace fitted due to foot drop. Although this hasn't been fitted yet, I am confident this will help me to stop tripping when I am out walking for long periods of time. Despite having seen many consultants and neurosurgeons over the last two years, this was the first time anybody has made any really positive suggestions that could improve every day living. Thank you Linda.” - Mark, Sidcup, Kent

Living with Vestibular Migraines

“Thank you so much for all your help, I have learnt so much, especially my limitations and how to reset. After almost 12 years of having this condition, I finally feel in control, or as in control as you can possibly be. Was lovely meeting you and in the kindest way, I hope we don’t need to meet again!” - Lisa

Living with a Stroke

“Just to say a big ‘Thank You’ to Charlotte for all your help in enabling Pete to ‘get on with life again’. He has benefitted hugely, physically and mentally, and is much more motivated now. Many thanks” - Kathy and Pete
